Maritime Silk Road Horologe Museum

A Magical Journey Through Time

Maritime Silk Road Horologe Museum, with a construction area of about 8000 , was completed on October 26, 2017, with a total investment of 22.8 million RMB, a construction period of 15 months, and officially opened in December 2017。There are 377 pieces/sets in the museum. There is a 13-meter-high melting giant wall clock on the outer wall of the museum. It is named "Eternal Memory" and is by far the largest outdoor metal wall clock in China. There is a column-type human sundial in the square, where you can make yourself a "sundial" and truly feel the "flow" of time in the splendid Chinese culture. Walking into the museum, you can watch 3D images that condense the timing process of human beings from looking up at the stars to looking down at watches. This clearly shows the development of clock technology, from gravity to clockwork, from air energy to battery, from astronomical clock to small clock, from pocket watch to wrist watch, from mechanical technology to aesthetic design, and so on. When you are in the museum, it seems that you are talking with watchmakers from different time and space around the world. You can create exclusive creative clocks in the DIY interactive experience area of clocks and watches. You can also find your favorite watch notebooks, watch ornaments and other watch cultural and creative products in the special theme exhibition area
